I appreciate you being vulnerable with us and showing us that it is okay for parents to be vulnerable and apologetic. It's what makes a parent someone to look up to instead of just someone who provides the minimum

In respect to the way you spoke to your daughter, don't be so hard on yourself. You want her to learn to speak up for herself, because you understand the internal pain of staying quiet. You are a great mother, please don't put yourself down. I'm sure your children are excellent. They just don't have experience in life yet.
